Specially arranged and rung by the local band in fond memory of our dear friend and former member of our local band RON APPLEWHITE.

Ron died two years a go today aged 100 (4 months after celebrating his 100th birthday which a number of the local band attended and celebrated with him and his family). Ron lived all his married life in Potterhanworth and was a loyal member of the band here and at neighbouring Branston, supporting the bell project here at Potterhanworth which saw the bells augmented from three to six and rehung 2000-2004.

During this evenings ringing we were pleased to see Audrey his daughter, who came to listen to the ringing in memory of her dad and half way through we took a break and went out to the ashes plot and placed a fuchsia on Ron's grave in memory of him. We specifically chose a fuchsia as Ron was very fond of fuchsia's growing many different varieties himself - they were a favorite of his!

The following members of the local band wish to be associated with this evenings ringing: Janet Risdale, Jayne Palmer, John Fry, Robert Harvey, Sister Maureen Pike, Mike Christie, all unable to ring this evening.
