On Saturday evening, August 22nd, at St. Mary-le-Tower, the following members of this Society rang the undermentioned touches with the bells half-muffled as a tribute of respect to the late Mr. Robt. Naunton, formerly a member of this Society, who died July 16th last, at San Francisco, California, also to the late Rev. H. T. Ellacombe, Rector of Clyst St. George, Devon, who died July 30th last.

Touches of 480 of Oxford Treble Royal, 435 Stedman Caters, 180 Plain Bob Royal, and about 700 Grandsire Caters, which were conducted by J. Motts, C. Mee and W. L. Catchpole.
